It's one of those extreme action sports I actually considered doing last year just for the fun of it. I know a professional skydiver plus a couple of random people who have also done it but I was discouraged by a few friends from even thinking about it and eventually I had to shove the thought to the back of my mind... At least till I saw this video today :-). Now I'm trying to psych myself up to start thinking of it again. lol.
These guys make it look so good....
So given the chance would you skydive? Is it one of those things you have ever considered doing just to conquer your fear, for the thrill of it or just to cross it off your bucket list? Also, what other extreme sports have you considered? Or would you rather just say 'no thanks'?
Why would you allow someone discourage you on what you have made up your mind to do? Please, do it, if it is what you want, so far your follow the necessary instructions.
ReplyDeleteI didn't make up my mind yet but had started thinking about it. One of the people I know that had done it (she loves extreme sports)was like she didn't really enjoy the thrills she got from it (more scary than thrilling)and said it's something I really have to be sure I want to do.lol. I'm not totally discouraged yet. Just psyching myself up more now :-)
DeleteSkydiving and para sailing is on my list of to dos...I had the opportunity to parasail once but I was scared shit...but now I am ready.
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely prefer to do parasailing before skydiving.. It just seems less scary
DeleteI don't think such thrills are for me, I don't have the liver. I can't even ride a bike too fast cos it is scary so skydiving is way out. You should do it though, when you make up your mind :)
ReplyDeleteLol. I can imagine. The thought of it is actually scary but haba, riding bikes fast should be fun. At least you can control the bike.
DeleteSky diving and bungee-jumping are on my bucket list o. If my gf could go skydiving 4 months pregnant what's my fear? Just do it!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!
Wow. She's very brave. Don't think I could do that. Happy New Year to you too!
DeleteEstrella, u know who this is.... abeg no thanks, hehehehe. I can't even do roller coasters anymore, last time, my spine ached me for one week ;).
ReplyDeleteLol. I definitely know who. I can imagine cos roller coasters are also tricky for me. These r all stuff I can probably try once and then never again. To be honest those thrills are not tht thrilling all the time... Especially if your spine hurts for a week.lol
Deletesky Diving is on my list ooo>>infact top 10 including "to fly a plane"....
ReplyDeletewill let you know when i get around to doing it>>and if you do first...bring us pictures..
P.s Happy new year
I have a feeling you'll go first. It's not like its my priority this year but you can't always tell. :-). An opportunity may just arise that I'll not be able to say no to. As for flying a plane, that's a huge one. Not on my list thought but you know what they say, 'if you set your mind to it...'. Just remember to blog about it when you do!
DeleteI love the thrill of adventure and the fear of controlled danger, so yes, hang gliding, skydiing, etc are all theings I'll like to try. I've crossed off extreme rollercoaster rides, helicopter, and bungee throwing :)
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely like to go on a helicopter ride as well. I don't think I'll need much convincing for that one. I've also crossed off roller coasters.for the rest,it will definitely take convincing though some more than others
DeleteThose guys make it look like so much fun. I have considered it once upon a long time ago (shay this english is correct sef), but have not gathered enough liver yet. Would do it just for the thrill of it.
ReplyDeleteNo Stelzz, even with Euros on top, Eya won't sky dive. Poor me! I hate going or doing extreme things.
ReplyDeleteI would say "no thanks". The thought of it gives me the chills!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love skydiving! Once I jumped out of a plane with my Paratrooper mountain bike folded. When I landed it took me less than 20 seconds to unfold and I was ready to ride. Incredible experience!
ReplyDeleteFor me...never...lol I'm too scared! My hubby has done it though and he said it was amazing. :)
