2013!!!!!

Yipeeee!! It's good to be back.J And it's 2013!!!! (It seems just like yesterday. How time flies)

To say I'm excited is an understatement. I'm really looking forward to what this year holds and to doing more this year. I've missed blogging and generally being involved with my other blog fams. To my new followers I say, welcome aboard; thanks to you all (old and new) for being patient with my absence. And to those who prompted me to come back, well here you have me, thanks to you!

I hope everyone had a pleasant holiday season. Mine was bitter-sweet. Sweet because I had my birthday and my wedding anniversary in December plus I got almost two weeks off to rest and visit with friends; bitter because I lost a friend just before Christmas. It was really painful for me and I was once again reminded of how fragile life can be; of how we don't really have control and how we should make every moment count. All in all, I am grateful to be here, and grateful to be able to look back to see how far God has brought me and how awesome 2012 was regardless.

As for resolutions, I will try to be the best person that I could possibly be and I have also resolved to always be honest with myself in all things. The older one gets, the more priorities and perspectives change. It is necessary that we live for what is truly important because at the end of the day, that is what really matters.

Anyway, before I sign off, here's a short poem I wrote for the New Year:

For the goals you’ll set and work hard to achieve,
And the resolutions you’ll make and have intentions to keep,
For whatever situation you may find yourself,
Your praise and expectation, you should never give up.

Give of yourself, whatever you have -
your time, finances, patience, or praise;
Give to others, you will lose nothing;
Your blessing to others, will make you blessed

Take no one for granted; let God be your companion.
For favor and provision, for joy and peace,
For love and friendship, good health and faith,
For a prosperous 2013, I pray you will have!

Happy New Year and have an awesome year ahead!!!
